HIGHLIGHTS

Long back the devi appeared as a mohra in the fields of a villager. He brought it home and kept in the grain chest. In the morning he saw that the mohra had come out of the box. He told the miraculous incident to the villagers. Then he was possessed and the spirit pronounced herself as Bhartha devi. Villagers established her as their village deity. The devi has khada rath with 16 mohras and ten chhatra (parasol). Devi travels to Vashisht for pilgrimage. Old temple of the devta is made in wood and stone in traditional style. The devi appears as a child in the dreams of devotees.
