HIGHLIGHTS

The birth of Shringa Rishi was happened from the womb of a hind transformed due to the curse of Brahma Ji to a Dev Kanya. That hind left the infant near the Ashram of Rishi Vibhandak and after transaforming herself into Dev Kanya returned to Dev Lok. Under the guidance of Rishi Vibhandak, Shringa Rish grown up and later on meditated for ten thousand years on Sakiran Jot due to which he was called Sakiran Rishi. Beneath the Sakiran Jot, at a place called Tharinwala, there was land of somebody called Shartangan. When he used to move there for ploughing, he used to hear a voice like ‘Main Ichhoo, Main Ichhoo’ . When this was happening very often, he told this fact to her wife. His wife advised him that he should tell him to come. Next day, while ploughing, when he heared this voice once again then he said: ‘Come in’. No sooner did he said this, he heared the sound of flowing water and a dry pond near his land completely filled in. When he reached near the bank of the river, a voice came as ‘Come Inside’. By dint of attraction of the voice, he moved into the pond. There he got a statue which started making conversation with him. It told that he is Shriga Rishi and wanted to move to Sakiran Jot. Shartangan told him that he don’t know about this place. The statue started saying that she herself will guide the path to the place. He picked the statue and being inspired he reached to Sakiran Jot. After reaching there he saw that Joginis were preparing ‘Thada’ to build a temple but on looking Shartangan and Shringa Rishi they disappeared and the statue established on Thada itself.
