HIGHLIGHTS

Chalasani Devi is one of the seven sisters who were born at Badakui. It is also said that she took birth in the form of wind at Shuva Kamru (District Kinnaur). Chalasani Devi came to Mata Bheemakali in village Ranvi. Staying for a few days there, she came after crossing river Satluj via Kasholi to a place called Chunagahi. Then via Maghaini Jot came to Chayal valley. Then passing through Dala Dainee, Dharla, Deur and Kurpan Khadd finally she reached at Jaon. There she met Goddess Gaura who presented her Chalta (mobile) Raj and kept Baitha (stationary) Raj with herself. From that day, both the devis are worshiped there at Jaon. Because of her residence at a place named Chayal she was called Chalasani Devi. The main mohra is known as madhi-mukh. The devi has eight mohras.
