HIGHLIGHTS

Many years ago one day a cow of Dagaini Village returned home in the evening after grazing in the jungle and she did not give milk. When this phenomenon continued for some days, the owner followed the cow to know the reality. At a place called Sitabag he was surprised to see that the milk was flowing from the udders of the cow on a bush of Kui plant. When he dug up the place, he found a stone statue having four hands. He came with the statue to his village and disclosed the incident to everyone. The villagers learnt that it was a devi and constructed a temple for her. It is also believed that this devi came from Deuri village and disappeared at Sitabag.
